Preparation of citrates, flavouring extracts, confections, soft drinks, effervescent salts, acidifier, dispersing agent, medicines, acidulant and antioxidant in foods, sequestering agent, water-conditioning agent and detergent builder, cleaning and polishing stainless steel and other metals, alkyd resins, mordant, removal of sulphur dioxide from smelter waste gases.

2. HEALTH HAZARD INFORMATION
2.1 Health Effects - Acute
Swallowed
Adverse effects are not expected.
Eye
Irritating to eyes.
Skin
Contact with skin may result in moderate irritation.
Inhaled
Inhalation of dust or powder is likely to result in respiratory irritation.
2.2 Health Effects - Chronic
Chronic exposure may cause allergic reactions to some individuals.
2.3 First Aid
Swallowed
If swallowed, rinse out mouth and then drink 1 - 3 cups of water. DO NOT induce vomiting. Seek medical attention if necessary.
Eye
Rinse immediately with tap water for 10 minutes - open eyelids forcibly. Consult a physician.
Skin
Remove contaminated clothing, wash affectd skin with soap and water - do not use any solvents.
Inhaled
Remove casualty to fresh air and keep him/her calm.

3. PRECAUTIONS FOR USE
3.1 Exposure Standards
An exposure standard has not been established for this product. However, the following exposure is recommended for nuisance dusts : TWA 10 mg/m3.
3.2 Engineering Controls
Transfer and handle only in enclosed systems. Local exhaust ventilation os necessary. Take precautionary measures against electrostatic charging. Avoid dust formation - consider dust explosion hazard.
3.3 Personal Protection
In case of open handling use particle mask or respirator with independant air supply. Use protective gloves and tightly fitting safety glasses.

Not flammable under conditions of use.

Store in closed containers and in a dry place. Store at temperatures between 10 - 25 deg C. Keep away from aluminium, copper, zinc, and steel. Keep away from potassium tartrate, alkalis, alkaline earth carbonates and bicarbonates, metal nitrates, acetates, and sulfides.

4.3 Spills and Disposal
Spills
