CFC-12 is a colorless gas at room temperature, and a non-toxic, non-flammable, colorless, transparent liquid under the pressure created by itself. It has excellent thermal and chemical stabilities. It does not corrode metals except magnesium and magnesium alloy. It will easily dissolve in hydrocarbons, halohydrocarbons and certain solvents at any ration, but not in water. As a convenient and safe refrigerant, it can be used in various refrigeration systems with a temperature range from -60℃ to 10℃. It can also be used in fields like spice industry, medical treatments and plastic industry.
