TRICHLOROFLUOROMETHANE (CFC-11)
Properties and Application:
CFC-11 is a colorless and transparent liquid at room temperature. Its properties include non-flammable, non-explosive, low toxicity, high density, low viscosity, excellent thermal and chemical stabilities. It will dissolves in alcohol, ether, oil and many hydrocarbons, but almost not in water. It is a high temperature refrigerant (0℃~10℃ grade) applied in the air conditioners with centrifugal, cyclo compressors. It can also be used as foaming agent for polyurethane foam.
